We are delighted to welcome Bijesh Chenna Kandathil to the team. As an experienced Mechanical Engineer, Bijesh will be reinforcing our umbilical cable design capability, while also supporting our naval architecture capabilities.

Bijesh is a Mechanical Engineer with a post-graduate degree in Ocean Engineering from IIT Madras, India, and has extensive engineering experience, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Bijesh specialises in umbilical/cable in-place analysis, local structural analysis of umbilical cross-sections, plus hydrodynamic and mooring analysis of floating structures.

Reinforcing Tadek’s umbilical cable design capability

Bijesh joins us from Oceaneering International where he worked as a Senior Engineering Analyst in the SURF Analysis Group and was responsible for umbilical related analysis (extreme, fatigue, free-span, VIM, and local structural).

Bijesh also coordinated deliverable requests and mentored junior analysts. Prior to this, Bijesh was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding at Kerala Technological University, India, and facilitated courses in Offshore Structures Design, Design of Machine Elements and Numerical modelling of ship hulls for stability checks, with additional responsibilities including lecturing, developing course content and tutoring.

Managing Director Rupert Raymond, commented:

Bijesh specialises in umbilical/cable in-place analysis, local structural analysis of umbilical cross-sections, plus hydrodynamic and mooring analysis of floating structures.

Bijesh is a fantastic addition to the Tadek team and we are pleased to have the benefit of his considerable experience in umbilical cable design and naval architecture, to support across a range of scopes, further bolstering the existing expertise at Tadek.

It has been a pleasure working on some initial projects with Bijesh. Near immediately he has made his mark as a very capable and diligent engineer.
