Vlad Proudnikov
Analysis Engineering Intern
(MEng)
Education and professional background
Vlad holds an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Sheffield, graduating in July 2025. His dissertation focused on a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of cylinder wake behaviour, investigating the effects of turbulence and surface roughness, alongside experimental validation through wind tunnel testing. Through this research, Vlas developed a strong interest in the potential marine applications of his findings.
Vlad’s expertise
Vlad brings a strong foundation in fluid dynamics and structural analysis. He has hands-on experience with both Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), particularly using ANSYS.
In addition, he is proficient in both 2D and 3D modelling, with a focus on Fusion 360 and AutoCAD, supporting design development and engineering analysis work.
Outside of work
Vlad rows competitively and participates in regular early morning training sessions on the Thames. He also enjoys cycling and undertaking long-distance routes, including the Windsor Bun Run.
In his spare time, he has a keen interest in cooking and exploring a range of international cuisines.
