Education and professional background
Paul holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Yacht and Powercraft Design, where he gained a comprehensive foundation in naval architecture, structural engineering, resistance and propulsion and marine systems. His academic work emphasized not only technical proficiency but also the importance of aligning engineering solutions with client requirements, regulatory standards and operational success.
He also brings valuable aerospace experience from his time at Airbus in Bremen, where he contributed to the assembly of A320 aircraft wings. Working as part of a precision-focused engineering team, Paul ensured that components met exacting safety and performance specifications – an experience that further strengthened his attention to detail and commitment to engineering excellence.
Beyond his technical background, Paul has demonstrated strong leadership and organisational skills through his involvement in large-scale event planning at his local yacht club. He played a key role in delivering ‘Cadet Activity Week,’ a programme involving over 80 young participants. His work covered logistics, catering, and financial coordination, reflecting his ability to manage complex operations with efficiency and care.
Etienne’s expertise
As a Junior Naval Architect at Tadek, Paul contributes to the design and technical development of marine projects, applying his knowledge of naval architecture, marine systems and structural design.
In addition to his engineering capabilities, Paul brings valuable multilingual skills – particularly his proficiency in German – which enhance communication and collaboration on projects involving both English- and German-speaking stakeholders. This combination of technical expertise and language fluency helps ensure seamless coordination and high-quality outcomes in international projects.
Outside of work
When he’s not working, he enjoys sailing with friends and family, playing badminton and cooking!
